Evan Li, the grumpy mechanic who haunted my teenage fantasies, irritates me with his controlling attitude, while his smoldering good looks only add fuel to my frustration. And then there's Jay Malloy, my former sweetheart who left me broken in high school. He’s still beautiful and still makes my knees weak, but I can’t forget what he did.

But when our small coastal town is evacuated for a potential tsunami, Evan takes his domineering control to the next level, hauling me and my cat to higher ground. To my surprise, he scoops up Jay on our way out of town.
