I'm leaning into the fall vibes with a small town in Vermont, maple syrup candies, and a guy who figures out he's in love with his best friend and seeks advice from a certain sex podcaster. Thanks to all of you who sent well-wishes when my husband was hospitalized. He's doing better now, and should be released later this week! Now that I'm writing full time, he's been home taking care of the cleaning and all that stuff, and I didn't quite realize how much he'd been doing until he wasn't home and the dishes didn't magically disappear from the sink while I was working in my office.

In another note, how do our two children produce THAT many dishes? It's like they need a brand new water bottle every time they feel thirsty.

I have read all the books in this series and was really excited to read this one after the cliffhanger intro of the last book. To be honest, there were a couple of parts that raised concerns for me on behalf of Kiaan, plus moments with Skylar's anxiety. However, their friendship and love for each other shone through from beginning to end. There was spice, exploration, and rethinking what the future would hold. Now, if only I could have someone like Ryker in my life who works through nervousness by building and fixing things.
